Wicked fraudsters boast with their deeds ... in a film
« on: January 18, 2018, 12:59:18 AM »

It is more than just wicked. It is deadly. it is homeopaths cheating patients with cancer, AIDS, or ebola. It is death on two feet.

Maine premiere of ‘Magic Pills’ documentary

Jan 16, 2018

“Magic Pills” explores the evidence, science and use of homeopathy around the world.

CAMDEN — At the conclusion of the annual Winter Wellness Fair, the Maine premiere of “Magic Pills: Promise or Placebo” (2017, USA) will take place at Camden Whole Health, 91 Elm St./Route 1. The screening, sponsored by Kelly Callahan CCH, RSHom(NA) of Concentric Healing Homeopathy, is Saturday, Jan. 27, at 3 p.m.
In the current climate of escalating health care costs and insurance comes a film that asks if there is a better way … and if that way has been maligned by media and skeptics. The award-winning documentary by filmmaker and homeopath Ananda More of Toronto, Canada, explores the controversy of homeopathy, which is often under attack despite 200-plus years of clinical evidence of efficacy.

More travels the world, focusing specifically on three large-scale projects that tackle some of the most daunting health challenges of our times — cancer, AIDS and epidemic disease.

From Tanzania, to Cuba and India, More interviews the homeopaths and patients who swear by these “magic pills” (homeopathic remedies). Balanced by interviews with skeptics, the film explores both sides of the controversy around this medicine that we are only beginning to understand scientifically.
Seating is limited to 30 for this screening, and a Q&A discussion, with an emphasis on freedom to access medicine of choices, will be led by Callahan following the screening.  Donations will be gratefully accepted.
The screening is preceded by the 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. fair’s open house, practitioners’ talks and refreshments. For more information, email Callahan at concentrichealing@gmail.com.
