'Three Aboriginal girls, Molly Craig (14yo), her sister Daisy (10yo) and their cousin ­Gracie (9yo), in 1931, forcibly removed from their ­families in the remote Pilbara community of ­Jigalong and transported to Moore River Native Settlement, north of Perth, escaped the next day and used the ­rabbit-proof fence — constructed between 1901 and 1907 to keep pests out of pastoral areas — to find their way home.'  Three little children on a 1600km journey.

Daisy's daugher Doris Pilkington wrote a book about the daring flight: "Follow the Rabbit-Proof Fence".
