Govt has awarded Fujitsu a £48m contract to run the police national computer, tracking the records of criminals & suspects across the UK. This is the same firm whose accounting software glitches caused hundreds of sub-postmasters to be wrongly prosecuted and jailed

I was thinking the same, i was sure they did Horizon. That well.programed no glitches at honest gov software that screwed up the lives of many sub postmasters.

I’m sure the government went through a rigorous tender process and vetted the options closely before giving it to one of their favourites

Bugs in computing software ought to be expected. Suitable acceptance testing should be performed by the customer and concerns arising after system implementation which could indicate software issues ought not to be ruled out of the question.

Maybe P.O. Mgt mainly at fault?

You seem to have missed one of the most egregious scandals of the century. They did complain vociferously and were told the software was not at fault and were sent to prison for their trouble. Entirely innocent. Many still to be compensated.

Good share 👍 Yes, you'd think the company whose software was blamed for the P.O. glitch that led to ongoing £1bn in TAXPAYER funded liabilities would be blacklisted from further UK Gov contracts, especially public liability in public sector contracts. 🤔🤔

It was est. £300m too
