Join us for a special webinar:

Detecting CTE in the Blood

We are about to make an exciting step in the fight to End CTE! Join us Tuesday, May 14 at 4 p.m. ET for a webinar presented by CLF and our research partners at the Boston University CTE Center. We'll introduce BANK CTE, a groundbreaking research study aiming to identify a biomarker profile unique to CTE, which could help scientists eventually diagnose the disease in living patients through a simple blood test.

Hosted by CLF CEO Dr. Chris Nowinski and featuring Dr. Michael Alosco and Dr. Thor Stein of the BU CTE Center, the webinar will discuss the game-changing potential of a blood-based diagnostic for CTE and explain who is eligible to enroll in the study. Former Super Bowl champion Peter Cronan will also join us to share why he chose to participate in this crucial research effort.

A concussion survivor bringing moms together

Allison Moir-Smith is an advocate, therapist, wife, and mother of two whose life changed after a 2018 fall on the ski slopes. For the next several years, Allison struggled with concussion symptoms, including headaches, sensitivity to noise and light, and depression. Thanks to treatment, her loving family, as well as self-healing through art, Allison manages her symptoms much better now, but says her heart breaks seeing fellow mothers who still struggle.

Allison is passionate about helping other concussed moms, and preventing them from suffering like she did has become her life's mission. In a new CLF Inspiring Story, Allison shares her recovery journey and the importance of supporting mothers with brain injuries.

Ahead of Mother's Day, Allison was a featured guest for this week's "Moms & Concussions: Patient and Caregiver Support" webinar, where she and other guests shared their top tips for healing. Watch it on our YouTube channel here.
