Trans Rights Activism has reached a dangerous level, populated primarily by aggressive males and emotional (largely vulnerable) young women.
Don’t believe me?
Here are all the things I have lost as a result of holding Gender Critical beliefs.
1. My Job. Twice.
Not only within LGBTQ media (I’m a lesbian writer) but also I am a trained chef. The pub I worked at, a small family run business, was threatened with picketing if they employed me. They no longer do.
2. My Safety
Trans Rights Activists have sent me over 200 death & rape threats. If I plan ahead & say I am going anywhere, I am told I will be met with a mob of aggression. They don’t want me to leave my house. They have my address and sent me flowers to prove it. Menacing.
3. My Parents Health
My father thought Twitter comments were real & had a stroke. My mother was told they would rape & murder my 2 year old niece, me & then her in that order. Vile. Mum had a nervous breakdown & was hospitalised. Neither of them did anything wrong.
4. My Home
I had to move when I received an email from a Trans Rights Awareness group with, ominously, only my home address. I have now received more proof that TRA’s have my new address along with yet more death & rape threats. Unacceptable.
5. My Relationships
Aside from moving away from everyone I know and love, many friends have been targeted or bullied & told I am a transphobe. My crime? I wouldn’t write an article declaring @jk_rowling
“transphobic” as I do not believe she is. And as I am a lesbian, I say out loud I will not date anyone with a penis. Neither of those things are “transphobic”. I am entitled to choose who I share my body with. Everyone is.
6. My Personal Boundaries
A man claiming to be a trans woman (he was a crossdresser) followed me in to a bathroom at a lesbian bar & touched me with his penis. I was barred when I reported this to the bouncer as I said “and she had her penis out and then he touched me with it”. I misgendered “him” and he’d sexually assaulted me. Apparently that means we’re even. I no longer feel safe in Lesbian Bars. Many no longer exist.
7. My Pride
I have spent a decade as an LGBTQ+ activist, from writing articles to debating at Cambridge Uni (specifically for trans rights & inclusion!) & winning. This matters not to people who wish me dead for saying lesbians don’t do dick. I, along with many lesbians, no longer attend Pride events. We experience homophobia if we do, at the hands of angry males who will not accept a woman saying “No”. Vile. And Rapey.
I have become ashamed of the LGBTQ community & how we are terrorising women & girls & removing their rights to single sex spaces.
8. My Health
I have become almost completely housebound due to the vitriol aimed at me by TRA’s who continue to threaten & harass me. I am shown pictures of penises & told to suck them almost every single day. As a r*pe survivor I’d really rather-fucking-not but apparently that’s not my choice.
Let me be clear - I have been a trans ally for a decade. That is now over. Trans Rights Activism is no longer in the hands of trans people - they are people who call themselves LGBTQ allies but are actually men (the male kind) who hate women & hate lesbians. They use the trans cover to commit their hatred of women under the guise of “equality”.
I cannot support this any longer. The LGBTQ movement has become Trans Focussed & while I am not anti-trans, I AM anti-intimidation. TRA’s have become terrorists, even the trans women I know & love are scared & angry as they say these people do NOT represent them. In fact, trans people are being treated worse now that 5 years ago.
Please let that sink in. If the lesbian community was spoken for by angry men & this ^^ level of aggression celebrated, we lesbians would shut it down. This is not about equality any more, it’s about silencing & intimidating women, especially lesbians & mothers.
Trans Rights Activism is Terrorism.
